one of the premier bass cab designers. Sketchup files are free for personal use, email 410@speakerhardware.com for a copy.
Commercial use prohibited except by Speakerhardware for kits under license from Duke LeJeuene. Copyrighted plans.

Assuming all 5 ports are open, this is what we can expect at the first overtones of low-E (82 Hz) and low-B (62 Hz),
with the center frequency of any significant bumpage north of 82 Hz given in parentheses.
The more ports plugged, the less low end (at both 82 Hz and 62 Hz), which may be useful to tighten up the low end.
Also included are figures for sealed box mode for those woofers which work well in sealed boxes,
but any of them can be used in "sealed box mode" to deal with a boomy room.

  • 8 ohm Basslites: -1.8 dB @ 82 Hz, and -3.7 dB @ 62 Hz (no upper bass bumpage)

The cross-firing array will not be quite as loud on-axis at shorter wavelengths (higher frequencies) as a normal 410.
The net result is that the low end is a little bit louder ON AXIS relative to the rest of the spectrum than would be the case with a conventional 410.
But because the Smart 410 doesn't lose as much off-axis energy at shorter wavelengths to beaming and cancellation,
it's actually putting a little bit more upper frequency energy out into the room, it's just not concentrated where one would normally place the measurement microphone.
